01. What does BARF Mean?

B.A.R.F. is the best diet you can offer to your furry friend. It stands for ‘Basic Ancestral Raw Food’. It is a completely raw feeding line for your dog. It consists of fresh raw meat, fresh meaty bones, and fresh organs, mixed in the right proportions with some vegetables and fruits to form a complete meal for your dog.

02. Is the BARF diet suitable for every breed?

Yes, it is! Whether a Chihuahua or a Labrador or a Great Dane, raw food is suitable for every breed.

03. How do the products last without preservatives?

All of the products are produced in our kitchens and immediately frozen in blast freezers, stored at our own in-house cold rooms and transported in insulated cold trucks. We directly deliver it to you from temperature-controlled cold storage, thereby maintaining the cold chain.

05. Do I need to feed any supplements while feeding the BARF Diet?
Good news for you: the B.A.R.F. Diet takes care of all the nutritional requirements, so you don’t need to. We recommend to add add raw or dehydrated meaty bones for increased oral hygiene.

 

06. Can I mix the BARF Raw Diet with other processed foods?

We highly recommend solely feeding B.A.R.F. Rolls in conjunction with raw, or dehydrated meaty bones.

07. What is the recommended daily intake for my pet?

We advise the following schedule:
Adults: a daily intake of 2% – 3% of their body weight.
Pups: A daily intake of 8% – 10% of your puppy’s weight, distributed in four meals a day until they have turned four months of age. A daily intake of 5% – 8% of your puppy’s weight, distributed in three meals a day, until they have turned 6 months. A daily intake of 3% – 5% of your puppy’s weight, distributed in 2 meals a day, until they are 1 year old. From this point, you should feed your puppy as recommended in the adults’ category. Lactating females should be fed in consideration of their appetite.
08. Can I cook my BARF rolls?
Not at all, they are already ready to go! Just thaw them and feed them raw so they conserve all of the good properties.
09. What to watch out for while feeding?
Always keep fresh drinking water readily available. Also feed bones and other dehydrated treats under constant supervision.
